“Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant’s Late-Night Dining Experience”

Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant offers a special 25% discount off of their “oh so tempting” MEZZANOTTE late-night menu to fulfill your desire for fine Italian dining.

With 9 different Insalate e Antipasti selections, try the Carpaccio di Manzo: The arugula salad becomes a meal with the thinly sliced prime sirloin, tasty shaved Parmigiano cheese and for a touch of class truffle oil.

Their delightful combinations include Fritto Misto: A great mix of tastes with fried baby squid, smelt, shrimp, fennel, and the added spice of Calabrese pepper and tangy mustard sauce.

If you are really hungry, the Carne e Pesce entrees await you! The Osso Buco, braised veal shank, cooked for hours in wine reduction until the meat becomes exceptionally tender served with farro.

You rarely see rabbit on many menus, the Conigllo Brasato, farm raised braised rabbit is prepared with soft polenta and mushrooms.

Ferraro’s Small Plate Tasting Menu-DISCOUNTS–

I was invited to Ferraro’s Restaurant & Wine Bar for their Late-Night Mezzanotte Four-Course Menu” tasting event, from 11 pm-2 am.

Each dish is special at Ferraro’s as they prepare Italian cuisine with traditional ingredients. All of these dishes sound so tempting, you will be very happy with your choice.

The appetizers include choice of one- Quail, Burrata Cheese, Caesar Salad or Soup.
Ferraro’s serves Quail Lollypop prepared with Guanciale spicy black fig marmalade and sweet potato sauce (Guanciale is cured unsmoked Italian pig cheeks, a specialty from Central Italy).
Try the Burrata –the Queen of Italian Cheeses. Its soft, creamy Apulia Cheese combines beautifully with the roasted carrots and almonds-sorrel pesto. (Burrata began being hand-made 100 years ago in the Puglia region of Southern Italy.

The Zuppa, Pasta e Fagioll Soup means pasta and beans. This soup is served in a mini-pot.

It is difficult to choose just one and then there’s the Classic Caesar Salad, an excitingly different interpretation of a famous salad.

Choose one of the two Pastas- Fettuccine or Spaghetti.

Ferraro’s Fettuccine is served with fresh Pomodoro sauce. (Fettuccine means “little ribbons” in Italian, a type of pasta dating back to Roman and Tuscan cuisine.)

Their Spaghetti offers the combinations of Calabrese pepper and garlic spices with olive oil and Parmigiano Reggiano, called the king of cheese.

For the main course, select one- 5 ounce chicken breast or 5 ounce Atlantic Salmon.

The seared Chicken Breast includes mushrooms, pee wee potatoes and is topped with veal sauce. Always original, Ferraro’s pee wee potatoes are a surprise.

Salmone, grilled Atlantic Salmon topped with caper-lemon sauce and spinach.

Dessert, the famous Italian Tiramisu-Cannoli.

What a meal! Ferraro’s prix-fixe, late-night “Small Plate Tasting Menu”, $25 per person, is a great way for couples, families, business associates and parties to taste some of these culinary delights.

I stopped at the entrance to the Waverly Restaurant and was immediately impressed by the dark wood around the wide doorway.

Inside their elegant setting gave me the feeling this was going to be a meal to remember.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With extra large booths, life-sized paintings across the walls and perfect lighting for atmosphere yet not too dark, I had a chance to look at the menu. What a selection! Waverly’s menu offered many original surprises that are not found anywhere else.

 Even the bread was special! As Executive Chef Steve Bacchetta, in charge of all five of the West Side Cannery’s restaurants, explained, “Our trio basket of breads include  White Chocolate Bread prepared with real white chocolate, a rustic almost country, almost sour dough bread and a spicy thin lavash. These complement each other because of the combination of the sweet, sour and spicy flavors.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Bacio means KISS!

The two piece band were playing while guests

filled the restaurant;

it was a food tasting party to introduce the press and VIP’s to

Bacio by Carla Pellegrino’s Mediterranean cuisine.

I walked around the buffet table and was thrilled to see all of the

selections.

Once I noticed Carla’s jumbo shrimp I was hooked!

Their jumbo shrimp were really jumbo, six to a pound, and

tasted great with a delicate butter, garlic, and lemon juice sauce.

The shrimp were not swimming in the sauce, yet they held the

taste in every bite. With such large shrimp, I decided to make

them my meal along with some of the caprese and spinach

salads.

There were several different Italian rolls and bread as well as

bread sticks.

A chef stood at the carving section ready to cut your port

reduction crusted ribeye exactly to your specifications.

Of course Carla’s menu offers pasta, not only one or two choices

but penne, spaghetti, linguine, and rigatoni.

but it doesn’t have to be one of the expensive restaurants.

Yes, there is a romantic Mexican restaurant!

You can dine at El Segundo Sol for a great romantic evening and

it doesn’t have to be a birthday, anniversary, or other

special occasion because they make EVERY NIGHT a special occasion.

The restaurant offers a reasonable Mexican culinary adventure.

Executive Chef Terry Lynch explained, “El Segundo Sol is

especially romantic as it feels like a Mexican honeymoon

where you walk off the Mexican beach, through a

grove of trees and into a cool beach side margarita bar!

I think the atmosphere is truly romantic.

It is as though you went through a door and suddenly

you feel you are in Mexico without leaving Las Vegas.

You would not find anything like this on the Las Vegas Boulevard strip.

A lot of our food and drinks are meant to be shared,

a perfect way to spend a romantic evening.”

I love the way the guacamole is prepared.

A special Guacamole Girl mixes it right in front of you.

Tell her exactly how spicy you want it and which ingredients

should be included, then a gigantic bowl –for- two

is brought right to your table.

Chef Terry feels, “This is really a special affair.

The girl is making it just for you at that moment, she will modify

the mixture to make special.

The James Bond Wine Table

When you visit Del Friscos, do not miss seeing the most amazing $1.2 million dollar James Bond table. Looking like a normal table at first, Jacque touched her remote control pad and the table suddenly opened to present the James Bond OO7 Films Wine Collection. Eighteen magnums of Cabernet wine from Napa Valley wineries each represent different Bond films. These one- of-a kind bottles are each laser-edged.
