The charming

quaint Turrialtico

Lodge is perched

on one of the most

beautiful

mountain settings

in the village of

Turrialba.   Their open air restaurant is perfect

for the sunny days and summery weather.

At night you can see the lights of the city and the volcano.

Guests have a front seat for the volcano’s eruptions, but don’t

worry because the lodge is a safe distance from the volcano.

At first it looks like a regular mountain, then the excitement

begins and you see nature’s glorious show.

Turrialtico’s decor and “look”

are typically Costa Rican.

With only 18 rooms, the lodge is

not as crowded as the hotels

and you can meet the

other guests.

Walk around the dining room to

see the masks, art objects,

statues, a marimba piano,

and other decorations.

The second floor lounge is a place to relax and look at the view.

The front path leads to some of the rooms while others are

upstairs.  When I

looked out of the

back window

in our

room, I was

surprised to see

the forest behind the lodge.

What a setting for a wedding with the volcano behind you!

Another place to take pictures is their orchard garden.

The Turrialtico Lodge has arranged weddings of up to 100

people with the reception in their restaurant.

Although Turrialba is a small village you will find a lot to do

here.  Some of the outdoor activities are rafting, climbing,

mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, horseback riding, as

well as the coffee plantation tour, and botanical gardens tour.

Breakfast is included and all of the rooms have private bath,

television sets, fan and coffee maker.

The Turrialtico Lodge is located in Turrialba, Costa Rica. info@turrialtico.com www.turrialtico.com

 The Perfect Tour for You

The best way to travel is with IL Viaggio Travel.

They specialize in the creation of tailor made

itineraries that satisfy their clients most

demanding needs.

IL Viaggio does not have fixed packages or

itineraries because each client is different and each

person is looking for that special trip.

Their staff visited almost every hotel in the country,

took every tour and lived the experience.

Emilio and Stephanie, owners of IL Viaggio Travel

have developed exclusive and unique tours.

These tours combine eco- tourism with rural tourism.

They have a strict policy of sustainable and

responsible tourism.

What are your hobbies, your interests?

Emilio and Stephanie ask questions of all of their

prospective clients in order to design the

perfect tour for them.

Their tours are very different, very exciting

that not many people do.

Stephanie explains, "You just have to let us know

what you want to see in Costa Rica and we will

arrange it."

We have a client who wants to travel around the

jungle by himself, walking 20 Kilometers a day, so

we have to do all of the logistics and take care of

him.  Even though he wants to be

alone, we have to take care of him.

Alone in the jungle where you can only reach the

national park by small airplane or boat.

You will find jaguars, monkeys and a lot of wildlife

there."

If someone wanted something really different IL

Viaggio has the answer.

Emilio feels most people have not seen their culture

in rural Costa Rica.

"We like to take people to experience the local

meals, the traditions which are special.?

Their tours are away from the cities, visiting places

that people do not usually visit but places people

should visit.

Emilio feels, "The Turrialba Valley is one of the

unexplored tourist destinations of Costa Rica.

It is not one of the classic ones crowed with tourists.

But once you get there, you have

the feeling of being in the jungle but also

experiencing with the

locals activities like white water rafting, the trails,

you name it, Turrialba has it.

Their tours can be arranged for all budgets."
